Annemariet González (ENGLISH)
After eight years of ballet education, Annemariet graduated from the National School of Ballet in Havana, Cuba, in 1999. She danced for ten years in the ICRT Ballet company in Cuba and toured around Asia, Europe, and some Latin American countries as a dancer.
From 2009 until 2015, she danced as a freelancer and led the dance department at Mayeusis, a conservatory in Galicia, Spain. She was the main Ballet pedagogue, choreographer, and Artistic Director of the institution's dance festivals.
Annemariet moved to Oslo in 2016 and started teaching in Den Norske Balletskole until she moved to Stavanger in 2017 and started working in Stavanger Kulturskole and UiS. She is the main pedagogue and coordinator of the Talent Regional program in Ballet (TaDa) and the Ballettprogram at Stavanger Kulturskole; this involves teaching classes of ballet, pre-pointe shoe training, all levels of pointe shoe, repertoire, and choreographing.
Annemariet teaches all levels of ballet and Afrocuban at UiS. She has also been a pedagogue at PPU (UiS).
